Last weekend marked a sad time; the final Downtown Cedar Rapids Farmer's Market of the Season.  It's a sign that summer is ending.  But just cause the season is ending, doesn't mean the markets need to end, especially since Fall is Harvest Time.  So instead of heading "downtown", plan on heading "uptown" this weekend, as the 2014 Uptown Fall Marion Market is happening.  Over 30 vendors will be on hand with fall produce, plants, baked goods, honey, organic meats and cheeses, Iowa wines, salsa, jellies, and an array of artisan items.  Plus there'll be food vendors of course, and entertainment include a caricature artist and music from the band "Airwaves", who you may recall from the Brucemore Balloon Glow during Freedom Festival.

It's a great time to enjoy a pleasant fall day, supporting local vendors and crafters for another weekend, while getting info on the Blue Zones project and more.  Hope to see you there!
