The AP is reporting some good news this morning. A Missouri man has stepped forward to claim one of two winning Iowa Lottery tickets in Tipton. The take for Richard Watson, 58 is the big one: $1 million. A smaller payout of ten grand also sold in Tipton remains unclaimed.

Watson says he purchased the winner six months ago at the Tipton Kum & Go. He travels alot for work and picks up lotto tickets across the region. When he finally got around to checking his numbers on all those tickets

, Watson noticed the matching numbers.

Now the travelling he does may be for leisure for awhile!

Our Workday Payday continues here at kdat.com and on-air through the end of May. While we aren't offering a million, I'm certain one or ten thousand dollars would be a welcome addition to your pocketbook this summer. Keep listening and thanks for surfing over to kdat.com to sign in to win.

Do you think that Tipton station will be a popular stop on the way home tonight?
