Friday night, a high school football game in Texas was the scene of something very disturbing. Two players for one team appear to target an official on the field with vicious blind-side hits. The video is downright maddening.

Friday night's game was between Marble Falls and John Jay High School from San Antonio. Around a minute remained in the 4th quarter when two players from John Jay do the unthinkable. One of them runs some seven yards toward the Umpire and hits him viciously, from the backside. Then as he gets up, another player appears to spear the downed official with his helmet. Both players were ejected and Marble Falls won the game 15-9.

Wayne Elliott, the secretary for the Austin Football Officials Association, told Fox News that the unnamed official was "very upset" and "wanting to press charges." He also said, "The first thing we want, is that those two kids never play football again.''

Personally, I think all those things should happen, This video is sickening and it's a miracle the official wasn't badly hurt. This is the second view of terrible sportsmanship in Texas in the last three months. A high school catcher not once, but twice, knocked runners off their feet by throwing elbows as they reach home plate. That video is below.
