After a long, hard year of reconstruction, a pair of First Avenue restaurants damaged by fire are finally about to reopen their doors.

Riley's Cafe was the victim of a fire in September 2016 that put them and neighboring bar Moose McDuffy's out of commission.

If you've driven by the two establishments, you've seen the progress made. You've also seen the new sign where Moose McDuffy's once was. It will now be known as "Grey's Pub". The name is a play off the title of the popular television show Grey's Anatomy as the pub is located in the MedQuarter district and will be taking advantange of that with a medical theme when it opens this Friday.

Riley's owners hope final inspections can be completed by the end of next week and they, too, can reopen.
