The nephew of male supermodel Tyson Beckford faces several charges in connection with the death of a New York City bus driver early on Thursday (Feb. 13).

Prosecutors say that Domonic Whilby, 22, had more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system when he stole a delivery truck and slammed it into an MTA bus on the streets of Manhattan. The driver of the bus, 49-year-old William Pena, died at the scene. Three passengers were hurt in the crash.

The Georgia resident had allegedly spent the previous evening and early morning partying with his famous uncle and other models at several NYC clubs, including the Dream Downtown. At 5:20AM, he reportedly went to the hotel's loading dock and stole a truck. He nearly hit the vehicle's driver before smashing into a wall and ripping off the truck's door, prosecutors say. He then allegedly hit another truck and a parked taxicab before running a red light and hitting Pena's bus.

Whilby, who is being held without bail, faces charges of vehicular homicide, assault, manslaughter, vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated. He is due back in court on Feb. 18.

There has yet been no comment from 43-year-old Beckford, whose long list of credits include 'America's Next Top Model' and 'Project Runway,' as well as music videos from Britney Spears ('Toxic') and 50 Cent ('21 Questions').
