U of I Children’s Hospital Throws a ‘Snow Ball’ for Patients [VIDEO]

"It really keeps their spirits up and just allows them to be a kid for awhile."

That's a quote given to KWWL from mom Diana Srinath, whose son is in and out of the hospital battling T-Cell Leukemia. She was just one guest at last night's "Snow Ball" event at the new University of Iowa Children's Hospital. The event was held so that the kids could get out of their hospital rooms for a little while and have some fun. Anna, Elsa, and Olaf were all in attendance, and the kids were able to enjoy crafts, dancing, slushies, and cupcakes! As you can see from the video, everyone seemed to have a great time (even the grown-ups!):

After co-hosting the Children's Miracle Network Radiothon at the hospital for a couple of years now, seeing things like this really warms my heart. The purpose of Radiothon is not only to help get these kids the care that they need, but it's also to help them have events like this. It's so good to see the kids actually be able to be kids, despite all of their struggles. We commend the staff over at the hospital for all of the hard work that they do!
