UPDATE: Downtown Iowa City Will Be Traversed By RAGBRAI Riders

Several weeks ago it was revealed that Iowa City is on the RAGBRAI route for 2015. Yesterday the full details on the route were released. This summer the route will have a unique route through town. Unlike previous RAGBRAI routes where the bicyclists skirted the central portion of Iowa City, this July the route goes right through downtown.

That final day of riding will be 65 miles from Coralville to Davenport. A stop at the Hamburg Inn will provide some fuel. Getting a table that morning might be a challenge though!

My son and I joined my brother for the Vinton to Cedar Rapids segment in 2012, then rode to Anamosa the next day. V-town is on the map again this year. It's always cool to have RAGBRAI in the corridor. I'm looking forward to doing a couple of days again this year. Hiawatha's overnighter is July 23rd, centered around Guthridge Park. The next night, it's on to Coralville's Iowa River landing. Cheap Trick will provide the tunes.
