It’s been a long road to the second season of American Crime Story, but The Assassination of Gianni Versace is finally upon us. FX confirms a 2018 premiere with some sinister new teasers for the Emmy-winner’s sophomore outing.

FX used the latest American Horror Story outing to at last confirm a premiere for American Crime Story Season 2, booking Wednesday, January 17 with a series of new teasers. Versace was previously set as the third American Crime Story with an aim to air within six months of Season 2, before creator Ryan Murphy opted to retool a second season based on Hurricane Katrina.

Season 3 of American Crime Story will feature Point Break star Edgar Ramirez as Gianni Versace himself, Glee and Flash star Darren Criss as his killer, Andrew Cunanan, Penelope Cruz as sister Donatella Versace and Ricky Martin as Versace’s partner Antonio D’Amico. Additionally, New Girl star Max Greenfield appears in an unknown role, along with Masters of Sex star Annaleigh Ashford and American Horror Story alum Finn Wittrock as Jeff Trail, Cunanan’s first victim. Season 3 will follow the July 1997 murder – the series’ first two episodes written by Tom Rob Smith – as drawn from Vanity Fair writer Maureen Orth’s book, Vulgar Favors.

We likely won’t see a full trailer for The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story until later this year, so check out the first teasers below and stay tuned.
