This year's winner at the Westminster Dog Show was a beagle. Every once in awhile a "typical" breed wins. More often than not, it's some rare breed with an owner that spends the majority of his/her waking hours grooming and poo-pooing. In fact, the winner's circle usually belongs to a dog with "poo" at the end of their name and/or breed name.

Not this year. Miss P. took home the big biscuit as Dan Harris from ABC News explains...

The most amazing thing about a beagle in a competition like this is the fact that they stay focused on the task and don't follow their nose.

This weather WILL break at some point and when that happens, Eastern Iowa dogs will bask in all the springtime smells as the ground slowly becomes unfrozen. My guys are ready.
