Have you ever had any strange dreams that made you think for a while afterwards?

I don't usually think too much about the dreams I have at night--other than the fact that I usually wake up right at the best part of the really good ones. What a bummer. One minute you're sitting on a beach somewhere, sipping a cold one and soaking up the sun, and the next minute-boom! You're jolted awake and back to reality. The meaning of that dream is pretty obvious. However, I had an interesting one recently, and I knew there had to be something behind it.

In the dream, I was simply hanging out and walking the cleaning supply aisle at Menards. What did that mean? Besides the always obvious interest in "saving big money", as the store's jingle goes, I knew I had been doing quite a bit of actual cleaning in the days leading up to the dream. Maybe it means an extra job working at Menards or doing cleaning services are in my future?

As I suspected, there was even more to it. Whether or not you believe in the validity of dream analysis, it's hard to overlook the results I got when I went to a site called Dream Visions. They will ask you to type in a brief description of your dream and give you an analysis of what it could mean.

Sure enough, the sample analysis report I got on my dream talked about needing to make things more neat and orderly in my life, making general improvements in my life and searching for how to do so, among other things.

Simply by looking up "cleaning" at the Dream Moods Dream Dictionary, I also found similar results. It mentioned the need to remove negativity from my life, get rid of old habits, "come clean" by telling the truth about something (uh-oh!), and again, seeking general self-improvement.

If you happen to be into dream analysis, I would love your interpretation.  Weigh in with your thoughts in the comments, even if it's just to tell me I'm wacko for wanting to look into the deeper meaning of my dream.
