And, you thought these things went away when you were a little kid...
This New Mexico woman holds the new Guinness Book of World Records mark for most slinkys. Like most items in that publication, she's gone to extremes in this collection.

At first glance it almost looks like a collection of those fly trap strips. Just get her that trip to China so she can really get the kinds she wants.

While not at this woman's level, we had plenty of slinkys at my house growing up. They used to get all tangled up, then you'd have to get another...and another. The only thing I went through more of was Nerf footballs.

While we don't like to admit it, lots of stuff WE liked as kids needed to be plugged in too. Maybe not as much as the turbo-charged amped-out Gen Y & Millennials, but by the time Pac-Man came out, we were addicted as well. It wasn't all Twister and Slinkys.

In fact, I think lots of people over 40 today have just as much trouble as any age group in focusing. We're uber plugged in too. It's nice when you're waiting in line at the drivers license center to surf the web on your phone. Good time killer. But take that mobile away for a day and see if you have withdrawl.

Someone needs to invent a non-electronic gadget that grabs our attention in 2015. A slinky-esque revolution!
