According to the biography on his website, Koy started out doing comedy at a coffee house in Las Vegas, Nevada. Those humble beginnings in the mid-1990s have led to stardom.

In 2018, Koy was named the "Stand-Up Comedian of the Year" at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal. Last year, he hit the top of the Billboard Charts with "Live from Seattle," a stand-up comedy album. A couple of hilarious clips from the Seattle shows are below. Warning... NSFW language:

Koy started off 2020 by selling out four shows at The Forum in Los Angeles, California, and Chase Center in San Francisco, California. Earlier this summer his latest comedy special, "Jo Koy: In His Elements," debuted on Netflix. It's the second straight year he's had a comedy special on Netflix, following "Comin' in Hot" in 2019. In March of 2021, Koy releases his autobiography, 'Mixed Plate.'

Tickets for Jo Koy's Coralville show go on sale Friday morning, October 9 at 10 a.m. Tickets will be available at the Xtream Arena box office or on the arena website.
