A Big Holiday Light Display Will Return to Adventureland This Month
When it comes to holiday light displays, Make-A-Wish Iowa sure knows what they're doing! Their Jolly Holiday Lights event will be back at Adventureland Park in Altoona later this month!
Jolly Holiday Lights first started back in 1996 at Water Works Park as a way to raise money for Make-A-Wish Iowa. According to the website:
"Since then, Jolly Holiday Lights has become the organization’s largest fundraising event, funding more than 1,000 wishes to date."
Jolly Holiday Lights is the largest lighting display in the state of Iowa, with more that 100 different exhibits spanning across a 2.5 mile drive. Volunteers have spent the last several weeks getting everything set up for opening night, which is set for Friday, November 25th!
If you want to bring the family to Jolly Holiday Lights at Adventureland, it costs $25 per car, $50 per limo/minibus (25 passengers or less), and $75 per chartered bus. You can save a few bucks by purchasing your pass in advance online HERE. The listed daily hours are 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Please note that the display will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve. The last day to check out the event will be New Year's Day.
