We're inching closer to summer, and there is no better summer tradition for many Iowans than the Iowa State Fair! Now, I don't want to wish summer away since the Iowa State Fair is in late summer, but there will be some incredible acts this year.
We now know there's going to be another massively successful act to play at the Grandstand this year.

Alanis Morissette is coming to the Iowa State Fair on Monday, August 15th!
Alanis has sold over 75 million records worldwide and continues to be a household name for many music fans. Mixing pop-rock with angst, the Canadian singer/songwriter will hit the Iowa State Fair Grandstand joining other announced artists such as Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Disturbed, and Demi Lavotto (see all the announced acts here)
Alanis Morissette's name has been in the news over the last few days when it was announced her former drummer Taylor Hawkins had died at age 50. While Taylor will always be best known for his work with the rock band Foo Fighters, he was Alanas' drummer for many years prior, and the two maintained a good relationship.
Alanis' catalog includes nine studio albums boasting 43 singles. six compilation albums, and 33 music videos. She is the second best-selling female artist of all time, behind only Shania Twain.
