American Airlines Offering Service To Phoenix From CID

According to CBS 2, "Eastern Iowans will have another way to escape Midwest winters, thanks to American Airlines."

It was announced today, that daily flights between Cedar Rapids (CID) and Phoenix (PHX) will start on December 18th and end on April 6th.

This is great news for me, as I have family that lives in the Phoenix area. I normally fly Allegiant Airlines into Mesa. From there, my drive is about 90 minutes. Flying into PHX is closer, so this will be more convenient and it will be nice to have another option and hopefully some competitive pricing.

Flights will depart CID in the morning, and return flights out of Phoenix will take off in the evening. When searching for flights, remember to type in code PHX for Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix.
