After seeking the public's help in tracking down leads, one arrest has now been made as police continue their investigation into the violence that ensued July 3 at a Casey's store in Cedar Rapids..

No information is being made available on the individual arrested at this time, but Cedar Rapids Police Department spokesperson Greg Buelow said the department has received nearly two dozen leads and 40 calls in connection with the incident in the just over a week since it happened. Authorities have focused on generating and following up on leads and expect to make numerous additional arrests.

Multiple incidents of vandalism, theft and assault occurred at 1532 Ellis Blvd. on July 3, forcing the Casey's store there to shut down early.
