Brain & Courtlin Celebrate Veterans Day at Hy-Vee [PHOTOS]
We had an exciting morning yesterday! Brain and I got to do a live morning show from the Johnson Ave. Hy-Vee in Cedar Rapids in honor of Veterans Day. All of the Corridor Hy-Vee locations hosted a free breakfast for veterans from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., so we spent our first three hours of the morning greeting vets, handing out prizes, and signing people up to win Justin Moore tickets!
The morning started off a little slow because of the weather, but by 9 a.m. the place was PACKED! We just want to take a second to say thank you to all of the heroes that stopped by to chat with us, the wonderful staff at Hy-Vee for hosting such a great event, and also the folks from the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile. That's right, the Weinermobile braved the snowy streets to stop by and give veterans and their families a photo op yesterday morning! We obviously took advantage of the moment, too.
