A plane from Las Vegas to Cedar Rapids had to be diverted to Peoria on Monday morning. The re-routing was due to heavy fog at the Cedar Rapids Airport.

KRNA's Brian Sines was one of the people traveling on flight #460. Brian told me, "We circled around the Cedar Rapids airport for almost 30 minutes. "Finally, the pilot informed us we would be landing in Illinois."

After the short hop over to Peoria, passengers waited two hours before finding out they wouldn't be flying home. Instead, Allegiant lined up 6 buses to take everyone back to CID. Brian told me, "We got home about 5 hours later then what we had expected. It wasn't exactly the most fun way to end a great vacation, but I'm glad we made it home safe."

We're glad you made it home safe, too, Brian.
