Cedar Rapids Bar & Grill Closing After Six Years

After six years in business a Cedar Rapids restaurant and bar is closing its doors.

Say goodbye to Silver Star Grill & Bar. The news comes via a post on the bar's Facebook page explaining that they will not be renewing their liquor license and in turn will close (see below).

As described in the post, it appears years of "tough" business lead to the bar's demise. The restaurant, located off of Edgewood Road in SW Cedar Rapids, will close January 29. The last day open will be Sunday, January 28. The owners are encouraging people to stop by for lunch, dinner, or just to have a drink!

It must be tough times for the restaurant industry. Especially considering this comes after news of other restaurant closings in the area such as Zombie Burger and Lebowski's. Hopefully, this trend will not continue. We don't want to say goodbye to any more delicious local restaurants!
