Waterloo opened one this week, and in a few weeks, Cedar Rapids is getting a Coronavirus testing site.

According to Iowa's News Now, City Manager Jeff Pomerantz says they plan to open May 11 at the Kirkwood Driving School on 50th St. SW. A contractor has been selected to handle all Coronavirus testing and the site will begin with a "soft opening" on May 11-12. Full operations will start soon after.

As with the Waterloo site, another in Des Moines and any testing sites set up in the future, you must complete the Test Iowa Assessment to determine your risk and need for the testing before being admitted. Over 200,000 Iowans have already done so, myself included.

Iowa DOT will handle traffic flow at the site. The Iowa National Guard will be there for logistics and setup, and local law enforcement will handle security.
