Cedar Rapids is Getting a New Mexican Restaurant

You can never have too much Mexican food!

A couple of weeks ago, my friend and I decided to have Sunday breakfast at gumption. over on Boyson Road in Cedar Rapids. On my way out of the parking lot, I noticed a sign for a Mexican restaurant I had never seen before. I asked myself, "how have I never heard of this place!?" After checking Facebook, Yelp, and Google, I couldn't find any information about it at all. I figured that it must be a brand new business.

As it turns out, my assumption was correct! According to their new Facebook page, Mas Margaritas Mexican Restaurant will be opening soon at 588 Boyson Rd NE, which is right across from gumption., Riley's Cafe, and ButcherBlock Steakhouse.

Haile Duncan is the owner of the restaurant, and with the help of Ozzy Aguirre, she hopes to open to the public in mid-December. I spoke with Haile about Mas Margaritas last week and she wrote:

"We hope to provide delicious authentic food that will always be fresh and homemade, amazing margaritas, and a friendly, family-style atmosphere. Everyone will feel like they’re part of the family at Mas Margaritas! We’re so excited for this opportunity to be a part of Cedar Rapids!!"
