Located on the Linn County Fairgrounds at 201 Central City Rd, the Circle of Ash is one of the most famous of haunted houses of Eastern Iowa. It's also billed as the largest haunted attraction, with many ways to scare the dickens out of you.

Due to Covid-19 concerns, the Circle of Ash will adhere to strict social distancing guidelines, and will be cleaning hourly. They will also will require fans to wear face masks.

Start with a trip through the trails into Frightmare Forest. You'll be terrorized in the deep dark woods by monsters and zombies who will have you screaming and sweating in the cool evening air.

Next, step indoors and make your way through Socko's Fun House, a crazy attraction complete with creepy clowns, fog, strobes and laser lights that take you into a maze filled with wild and weird surprises.

If you've made it this far, it's time to experience the Circle of Ash Indoor Haunted House. This is the big one, that combines all the creepy things that frightened you as a kid, with an extra jolt of traditional shocks.

The company that creates and staffs the Circle of Ash has been doing it for nearly 20 years, and employs about 40 actors who love their craft and put extra work into each performance. Their website says they are the only haunt you can go through as many times as you dare to at no extra cost. That's a challenge if we've ever heard one!
