Clarion Employees Get A Christmas Miracle
While the hotel is still under investigation by the U.S. Department of Labor, it appears the employees of the hotel formerly known as the Clarion received a Christmas miracle.
We told you about the issues with management not having paid its staff for several weeks, leading to the Labor Department investigation.
KWWL reports that at a company Christmas party, just before the holiday, paychecks were passed out to employees who hadn't received them, making good on the lost wages just in time to give their kids and families a wonderful Christmas.
Some wonder why employees didn't leave the company or find another job when the money stopped coming in, but as one employee interviewed said, it's because they love their job and the people they work with.
Folks in the community helped in droves through the GoFundMe page that was set up, but the company has now made it right as well.
