Comedian Nate Bargatze Has Announced a Cedar Rapids Show
2020 is going to be a great year for comedy here in Cedar Rapids! We found out last week that Bert Kreischer is going to be stopping by the Paramount Theatre in downtown Cedar Rapids on March 29th (read more HERE), but earlier in the month the venue will be hosting another comedy show. Nate Bargatze will be taking his Good Problem to Have Tour to the Paramount on Sunday, March 8th at 7 p.m.
I was introduced to Nate Bargatze after seeing his half-hour set on the Netflix show “The Standups.” The section where he talks about ordering milk with ice is one of my favorite comedy bits of all time. His episode was successful enough for Netflix to offer him a full-hour special, which was released back in March. It's called “The Tennessee Kid.”
According to the Paramount's website, Nate has toured with Chris Rock, done live shows for troops in Iraq and Kuwait, been featured on popular late-night shows over ten times, and he also performs regularly at festivals all over the U.S. and Canada. The website also states:
"Nate was featured as one of Esquire's ‘Best New Comedians’ by Jim Gaffigan, one of Marc Maron's ‘Comedians to Watch’ in Rolling Stone, one of Variety’s '10 Comics to Watch' for 2015, and as #1 on Vulture's ‘50 Comedians You Should Know’ in 2015."
Tickets for the show go on sale this Friday, November 15th at 10 a.m. and start at $35. Get the link to get yours HERE.
