According to the Cedar Rapids Gazette, "One person was injured Wednesday afternoon when a fire broke out in an upper-level condominium north of downtown Marion."

The incident happened around 1:30 Wednesday afternoon at 740 Magnolia Lane. When firefighters arrived, smoke was coming out of the upper level of the building.

The Gazette story said the fire started in one of the unit's and spread to the buildings attic. The upper level of the unit sustained the most damage. The crews were able to extinguish the blaze and there were no life-threatening injuries.

One person had to be taken to a local hospital and we don't know the extent of the injuries. We will continue to follow this story and provide updates as soon as we learn more information.
