Congratulations To Our Latest Hometown Hero

This Saturday, November 9 at the U.S. Cellular Center, it's the "Hometown Heroes" concert, featuring Bret Michaels, Night Ranger, Lita Ford and Joe Nichols. Tickets are still available, check here for details.

Bret's using this opportunity to honor all the police and fire personnel, first responders, doctors, nurses, EMTs, veteran and military personnel, even teachers or any other everyday difference-maker. He asked for our help finding these folks in our community and we have.

Lora Kies has nominated her daughter Layla.

My 10-year-old daughter organized gift cards for firemen after a big fire in our town of Vinton. She collected over $3000 in gift cards and passed them out to firemen in 4 towns!
