With the socially-distant Coralville Farmers' Market still operating until October 5, 2020, it will move to a new location for the remainder of the season and, perhaps, beyond.

It's been a staple of the parking lot at the Coralville Community Aquatic Center for years, but its new digs are in the Iowa River Landing development, according to KCRG. The hope with this move is to bring better entertainment opportunities to the market, better exposure for businesses in the Iowa River Landing area, and an overall better experience for market patrons.

The Coralville Farmers' Markets take place Monday nights through October 5, from 5-7 p.m. KCRG says vendors will set up on "the westbound lane of E. 9th Street between the lower roundabout and the new roundabout at E. 2nd Avenue. Customer parking will be available at the IRL West Ramp, Intermodal Ramp, or on-street parking on Quarry Road".  All points can be accessed from either East 9th Street or Poinsettia Way to Iowa River Landing Place.

Another change includes the Coralville Parks & Recreation Department relinquishing leadership of the market to Watts Group, a real estate agency in the area. For questions or to learn how to be a vendor, contact Tony Rubino at tony@wattsgroup.com or (319)338-4100. The Coralville Farmers' Market also has its own website for more information.

The market opens at this new location next Monday, September 14.

The final drive-through Cedar Rapids Downtown Farmers' Market takes place this Saturday, September 12. Get more information on that here. We're all hoping we can return to that event in person next summer.
