As you you've probably heard by now, our lovely coworker Danielle got married this weekend! The wedding was held in the St. Louis area, where both Danielle and her husband Josh are from, so a few of us here at the radio station decided to make a weekend of it. Yes, I am absolutely exhausted today, but it was definitely worth it.

I must say, the drive to St. Louis is pretty easy. We left at around 8 a.m. on Friday and we made it to our hotel in a little over four hours, never hitting any traffic. It was a heck of a lot easier than the last time I drove there from Michigan! We wanted to save a little money, so we ended up staying in Creve Coeur, which is a little bit outside of the city.

When we got in we were starving, so we decided to seek out some Mexican food. We weren't sure where to go, so I Googled, "best Mexican restaurant in St. Louis." The first place that popped up was Mi Ranchito, so that's where we went! The margs were strong and the queso was perfect.

Later Friday night we headed to Downtown St. Louis. Our first stop was a place called PBR's, which was suggested to me by someone here in Iowa. It was perfect! I love a good country bar, and it was in the Ballpark Village, so there was a great crowd after the Cardinals game ended. Then we met up with some friends at a place called DB's Sports Bar, which was NOT what we were expecting. The servers/bartenders were all in their underwear and we watched them paddle several men, so that was definitely the most interesting part of the evening.

Saturday was Danielle's big day, but we couldn't get ready for the wedding without a little brunch! We went to a place called The Shack and it was SO COOL. You are allowed to write on the walls of the restaurant, so the whole place is just covered in words and pictures from customers. The menu has all sorts of fun, unique breakfast items, but I'm boring and went with a basic omelet. It was delicious and I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

The highlight of the weekend, though, was obviously Danielle's wedding. The weather was absolutely perfect, the venue was stunning, and Danielle looked like an actual angel. It was a wonderful outdoor ceremony and reception, and the fireworks going on behind the winery towards the end of the night made for some beautiful moments. I'm sure Danielle will have plenty of photos to share when she comes back to work, but in the meantime, here are some photos I snapped from the big day:
