I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S ALREADY DECEMBER. How insane is that?! I'm proud to say that I have met (and exceeded) my goal of visiting at least one restaurant I've never been to before every month for the entire year of 2017. I've eaten at some wonderful Eastern Iowa restaurants this year, both new and established.

I said last month that I wanted to try and hit up more than one restaurant in the month of December, with the main goal to get pizza at Zoey's in Marion. I will be visiting Zoey's next weekend for sure, but yesterday I visited a brand new restaurant (in Cedar Rapids, anyway) that just opened this week! The name might sound familiar: Quinton's Bar & Deli.

I believe I've stopped in for drinks at the Quinton's in Iowa City a couple of times, but I've never sat down and had a meal there. I didn't know what I was missing out on! The new location in Cedar Rapids is located directly across from the McGrath Amphitheatre on 1st Street, and I absolutely loved the decor, especially the fancy ceiling. We were told that the patio will be able to seat a ton of people in the summertime, which will be great when there are concerts going on across the street.

Now to the important stuff: the FOOD. Quinton's has a lot of options on their menu, so it was pretty tricky to make a lunch choice. We started with the Chili Con Queso Dip as an appetizer and it was freaking awesome:

For my meal I ordered the Loaded Grilled Triple Cheese, which comes with your choice of three cheeses, and homemade fries as the side. I certainly had no complaints. Also, the ranch was excellent, in case you were wondering.

Quinton's is kind of known for their baked potatoes, so a friend of mine ordered a full Grilled Chicken Spud, which I OF COURSE had a few bites of. All I have to say is WOW.

Overall, I thought the food at Quinton's was really good, the service was great, and I really love the location. I can't wait to eat out on the patio next summer!

I should also mention that I ate at the Ox Yoke Inn in Amana this weekend and it was also amazing!

Stay tuned for my review of Zoey's in Marion in a couple of weeks :)
