Doing Landscaping? Free Tree Giveaway in Cedar Rapids This Week
Are you getting ready for a home landscaping project? Want to add some life to your lawn? Good news. Free trees are being given away in the community this week.
According to Iowa News Now, Texas Roadhouse in Cedar Rapids partnered with Arbor Day Foundation and Trees Forever to give out free trees. This is an effort to bring back trees to the area that were lost during the August 10 derecho.
How Can I Get a Free Tree in Cedar Rapids?
It's simple. Just pull in to the Texas Roadhouse parking lot in Cedar Rapids, located at 2605 Edgewood Rd SW on Thursday, May 6 anytime between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. There will be a station set up where you can pick up your free tree.
What Kinds of Trees Will Be Given Away?
All sorts of kinds. You can choose from tree types such as Triumph Elm, Bald Cypress, Red Oak, Exclamation! London Planetree, Autumn Brilliance Serviceberry, and Skyline Locust.
How Many Trees Can I Take?
There's definitely a limit. Only two trees will be allowed per vehicle. Plus, it's first come, first served, so you may want to get there early in case supply runs out.
This is an awesome way to not only celebrate Arbor Day but to help restore our foilage back to the area.
