If you're a Netflix subscriber, don't fall for a new scam email that appears to come from Netflix itself. It doesn't. The email claims that Netflix is "having some trouble with your current billing information." It then asks you to update your payment details and click on a red box that says "Update Account Now." It's a clever scheme by criminals to get you to give them your credit card information.

So what should you do? A Facebook post by a police department in Ohio says,

Contact the source of the email by another method you trust, to make sure your accounts are maintained. Don't click the links. The links could also be a way to install malware on your computer.

The scam has attracted the attention of Netflix, itself, who offers information for those that received an email or text message from what appears to be the company. You can read more from Netflix HERE.
