Downtown Noise Gives Way to Sign of Upward Progress
The steel is in for a new 11-story building and flood wall downtown, meaning things have gotten quieter from a sound standpoint. However, yesterday came a sign that things are about to go skyward.
The construction contractor responsible for putting up the new corporate headquarters for CRST erected a crane at the site yesterday. By this time next month, the flood wall should be visible. That will be followed by a three-story parking garage, and eventually the remainder of the building that will sit atop a portion of it. The entire project is still more than a year from completion, but more and more changes will be visible along the banks of the Cedar River in the coming weeks and months.
