In case you haven't noticed, it's cold! Between the first snowfall of the season earlier this week, and the dropping temperatures, everyone is looking for a fun way to celebrate the holidays and get in the spirit. A first-ever event hosted by Noelridge Greenhouse is set to do both and warm you for a few hours at the same time.

Coming up on Thursday, December 1 is a new event to add to your holiday calendar, called "Lights & Blooms". According to KCRG, the folks at Noelridge Greenhouse (4900 Council St. NE) are calling it a late-fall "tropical adventure". From 5-7 p.m. will be welcome to enjoy hot cider, punch, cookies, and popcorn while enjoying the greenhouse’s permanent collection of tropical plants.

Admission to this event is free but visitors are asked to bring a canned food donation, which will be distributed to HACAP. Bundle up and go out to join them! For more holiday fun, we have a list of other Corridor-area craft and vendor fairs here.

Don't forget to send us a stunning photo of your holiday light displays. Your effort could impress the entire community (and earn you $500) by entering our "Light Up Eastern Iowa 2022" contest presented by our friends at the Hazy Hideaway.
