Julie Griem works at the Iowa City VA Hospital as a Nurse in the OR. She has two high school age children Nick and Hannah Applen. Julie has been a caretaker for our Vets over the past few years and has also been the primary caretaker of her two children. Her son Nick has suffered severe seizures almost all his life. He just recently had major surgery to hopefully cure him and so far, has been seizure free. Now, Julie is the one that needs the support and care. Early this year she was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that has spread. Since her diagnosis she hasn’t been able to work, and the medical expenses are again accruing. We hope you will join us by Standing Up, Standing Strong and Standing Together to support Julie and her family.

*The night includes a free will donation dinner from 5-8:30 p.m., a raffle, silent auction, and live entertainment from 8:30-11 p.m.
