Exploring Iowa’s Treasures [PHOTOS]

Question: What has 323 acres, a 50 ft. natural stone bridge, 13 caves, 6 miles of hiking trails and one 17-ton balanced rock?

Answer: Maquoketa Caves State Park.

Amazing!  And just a mere 60 miles from Cedar Rapids, this is first on my lists of places I need to visit this summer. Just look at some of these incredible photos!

The state of Iowa is best known for its corn. But there is a lot to discover in this great Midwestern state for a new guy like me. And it doesn't get much more exciting for an explorer than Maquoketa Caves State Park.
