Fall is coming and so are the great fall food programs with the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach.

The Food Systems Program Coordinator, Brittany Demezier, stopped in this morning to tell us about some of the programs that are coming up.

On Tuesday night, September 28th, you can explore Apples Galore: An Intro to Apple Cider Making. This program will run from 6:30 to 8:30pm at Clarke University and will explore the best apples to use for all your apple treats, how to press your own cider, and taste fresh pressed cider with a different variety of apples.

Cost is $10 and you can register HERE.

On Friday night, October 8th they're hosting Meet the Meat: Pork Edition. This seminar will be at the University of Dubuque from 6 to 8:30pm and will teach you how to use different types of pork, learn how to shop for the perfect cut of meat, and meet local pork producers. The evening will conclude by preparing a dish with guidance from a professional chef.

Cost is $25 and you can register HERE.

There is also a Wine Wednesday on October 20th and a kid's Food Adventure Camp on October 4th (in Dyersville), and on October 29th (in Dubuque).

Space is limited in all of these programs. To learn more or register, visit HERE. You can also stop by the EXTENSION FACEBOOK PAGE.
