Summer is right around the corner, which means that farmers markets will soon return to Eastern Iowa!

If you're looking for fresh produce, baked goods, meat, cheese, wine, plants, flowers, and more, you will have PLENTY of options this spring and summer! Farmers markets in the area are gearing up for a busy season after a very difficult 2020.

In addition to some familiar local farmers markets, there's also going to be a new one this year. It will be take place in the parking lot of Chrome Horse Saloon at 1201 3rd Street SE in Cedar Rapids. The scheduled dates are June 12th & 26th, July 10th & 24th, and August 14th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

  • Downtown Farmers Market
    • Downtown Cedar Rapids
    • Dates: June 19th, July 3rd, July 17th,  August 7th, August 21st, September 4th, September 18th, and October 2nd
    • Held Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Iowa City Farmers Market
    • Chauncey Swan Parking Garage - 405 E. Washington St. Iowa City
    • Runs from May through October
    • Open Wednesdays from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Hiawatha Farmers Market
    • Guthridge Park - 10th Avenue Parking Lot
    • Runs May 2nd to October 31st
    • Open Sundays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Swisher Farmers Market
    • Jefferson & 2nd Ave in Swisher
    • Runs June 10th through October 7th
    • Open Thursdays from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • Field to Family
    • Online Market
    • Pick-up will take place at the Johnson County Health and Human Services Parking Ramp on south Clinton Street
    • Runs May through October
    • Pick-up on Saturdays - ordering will begin at 12 p.m. the Tuesday prior to the Saturday pick-up
