    Run/Exercise

First off, if you're going to do a 5K, you should probably  get some running in. Even if it's just some light jogging. Getting your cardio endurance up will certainly help you on race day. Doing other exercises such as squats, push ups, and crunches will help out too when you're trying to pull yourself through some of these GIANT inflatables.

    Stretch

Stretching gets your muscles nice and loose for some intense training. It also helps with blood flow in your body. Being warmed up and flexible will help keep you from pulling a muscle!

    Diet

You know that saying "you are what you eat"? Well, we don't know about that, but you certainly feel like what you eat. That's why it's important to eat healthy foods that are going to give you good energy and not weigh you down. Before running, it's good to eat foods containing carbs and protein. Active.com suggests oatmeal before a race, and to avoid gassy foods like onions (the person behind you will appreciate this). Bananas are great too!

    Prep For Weather

Whether it's blistering hot or freezing cold, you'll want to be prepared for the weather. Wearing sunscreen the day of to prevent sunburn is always a safe bet. Also, bringing a light jacket is a good idea in case it decides to rain. If not, you can always tie it around your waist. As of right now, it's supposed to be sunny with highs in the 80's for the Insane Inflatable 5K! Yay, let's hope it stays that way.

    Hydrate

Staying hydrated is key to keeping up your energy (and not passing out), especially if it's hot out. It allows oxygen to flow to your muscles-- you know, the one's you'll need to run the Insane Inflatable 5K!
