A Cedar Rapids man who was one of two people killed in a shooting on October 5, was working as a food delivery driver when he was shot and killed.

Our news partner, KCRG TV-9, has confirmed that 21-year-old Myron Snyder of Cedar Rapids was delivering for DoorDash when he was killed just after 8:20 p.m. on Thursday, October 5.

A DoorDash spokesperson told KCRG in a statement, "This was a tragic loss of life and our hearts are with the victim's loved ones. We are actively in touch with local law enforcement to support their ongoing investigation however we can."

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Corridor said earlier this week that Snyder was a former Club member and also worked for the organization part-time.

Snyder was one of three people shot in a parking lot outside The Pointe at Cedar Rapids apartments located off 42nd Street NE, between Noelridge Park and Center Point Road.

21-year-old Maurice Brown of Cedar Rapids was also killed in the shooting. A third victim, who was seriously injured, has not been identified.

No arrests have been made and the Cedar Rapids Police Department continues to investigate the shootings.
