Former Journey Lead Singer Returning to Iowa

No, it's not Steve Perry. But it is free.

4th Fest in Coralville celebrates the 4th of July at S.T. Morrison Park, and has lined up a headlining musical act that was a member of the popular band Journey for almost a decade.

Steve Augeri, who just recently played Meskwawki Bingo Hotel & Casino, returns to our neck of the woods this summer.

A yet-to-be-announced opening act plays at 6:30, followed by Augeri at 8 on Wednesday, July 3.

4th Fest also includes other events like a 5k run/walk, parade, fireworks and activities in the park.

It may not feel the same as a "real" Journey show but the Gazette reports you can expect to hear many of the band's hits, outdoors in the warm summer air under the moon and stars, and in case I forgot this part: It's free!
