The musical sensation is finally about to hit Iowa. The musical 'Hamilton' will begin it's Iowa run on Wednesday at the Des Moines Civic Center and will play 24 times through July 15th. Penned by Lin-Manuel Miranda, the Tony and Pulitzer winning musical is often described as the story of "American then, told by America now."

The musical will run around three hours including an intermission. Fans will be treated to two acts with 50 musical numbers. An estimated 65,000 fans from 48 states plan to travel to Des Moines to see the show. If you're looking for tickets, well, good luck. And it will cost you!

The general on-sale was last November but some tickets are being released daily by the tour. You can check for those HERE. Those tickets will cost between $198.50 and $373.50. In addition, the tour also plans to run the $10 HAMM4HAMM lottery. A total of 40 $10 tickets will be awarded for each performance. You can start signing up for the giveaway today.
