Happy 120th Birthday, Cedar Rapids Public Library

If you think libraries are becoming obsolete, here's proof that they are alive and well.

The Cedar Rapids Public Library is celebrating its 120th anniversary in 2017, and they want you to join the fun.

Stop by the downtown library at 450 5th Avenue SE from 10-noon on Saturday, January 14 for some refreshments, fun family activities, party games and a story booth. Find out about the library's plans for 2017 and of course, if you haven't already, you can also check out their beautiful facility, newly built since the 2008 flood and the many improvements and upgrades the library is making. A special presentation will take place at 11:30 a.m.

You may even want to stay and check out a book--or 6, or borrow some movies.
