Hawkeye Women Advance To Championship Game

The Iowa Women's basketball team play in the Big Ten Tournament Championship game tonight. Iowa defeated Rutgers on Saturday 72-67 and will play Maryland in the championship game today at 5:00 p.m.

Iowa hasn't won a big ten title since 2001. If you remember, that was Lisa Bluder's first year as Iowa's head coach. 18 years later, we're all hoping she can do it again!

This has been such a fun year to follow the Iowa Women't basketball team. I was able to attend 4 games this year and I'm hoping to get to Iowa City for a couple of tournament games.

This team has a ton of talent and one of the best coaches in the country. Skies the limit for these student athletes and we wish them the best. One game at a time.... and they have an important one later today!
