The coronavirus has turned our world upside down, causing sickness and death.

It has also sent the economy spiraling into a downturn that has most Iowans worried about how they are expected to make ends meet.

While some are working from home, many other still trudge outdoors to the highways and byways, heading to essential jobs to help keep things moving.

Our federal and state governments are doing what they can to help, but I have one idea that our own city should consider.

If Cedar Rapids wants to help it's residents during this time of financial crisis, why not suspend the traffic camera fines until further notice?

They don't have to 'turn them off' but how about we just stop enforcing the fines?

If you think its a good suggestion call or email your city council person and let them know you support dropping traffic camera fines until this blows over.
