How NOT to Outrun the Cops in Iowa
A 23-year-old man is learning how NOT to outrun the cops in Iowa.
But it seems he forgot to follow the Big Three Rules:
- Rule 1. Do not try to escape the cops by driving through a cornfield.
- Rule 2. Do not get your vehicle stuck in the cornfield.
- Rule 3. Do not rev your engine until the car catches fire in the cornfield.
Nicholas Dukes is charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and failure to maintain control of a vehicle, the Linn County Sheriff's office said.
Around 2 a.m. Monday, deputies say Dukes lost control near Sisley Grove Road NW and E Avenue, entered a cornfield and got stuck in a ditch. He overheated the vehicle, and as he tried to leave the scene, it caught fire.
Yep, so he had a bad day. But now he knows how NOT to outrun the cops in Iowa.
