I tried my hand at an Improv class through Theatre Cedar Rapids a few years back. It was fun but I had NO idea how difficult it is to be funny on the fly (or for that matter, just funny). It's all about acting out situations concocted by the audience or each other, and if nothing else, it was a good social experiment for me. I now have a much greater appreciation for those who do that sort of thing professionally, in particular, the team of Improv comics on the hugely popular "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" television show.

Two of those stars, Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood are hitting the road and making a stop in Cedar Rapids this Fall!  Mochrie and Sherwood bring the "Scared Scriptless" tour to the Paramount Theatre, November 4 at 7:00.

You can get tickets through a venue pre-sale starting on Thursday, June 24 using code IMPROV21, and tickets will then go on sale to the general public on Friday, June 25 at 10 a.m.

Don't we all need a laugh right now from two of the modern-day greats? They've been joined for years by a rotating cast on "Whose Line?" including, among others, Greg Proops, Wayne Brady, and Ryan Stiles. The show was hosted for years on ABC by Drew Carey but can now be seen going into its fifth season (appropriately enough as these two stars are on their way to the City of Five Seasons) on the CW network with hostess Aisha Tyler.

The lobby doors will open at 6 p.m., house doors at 6:30, and showtime is 7 p.m. according to the CREventsLive website.
