Marion native Marcus Paige has a new NBA deal. The point guard has signed a new 2 way deal with the Charlotte Hornets according to reports.

Paige spent last year with the Salt Lake City Stars of the NBA Developmental League where he averaged 12 points and just over 2 assists per game. He is expected to spend most of the upcoming season with Charlotte's D-League team The Greensboro Swarm.

Each NBA team can sign 2 players to what are called 2-way contracts. They are paid one amount for playing in the Developmental League, and another amount should they be called up to play in the NBA.

Paige was a star point guard at the University of North Carolina after prepping at Linn-Mar in Marion.
