This is one of those stories that you're either going to love or hate. I feel like there are two kinds of people in this world, those who love watching pimple-popping videos and those who find those videos disgusting. I had a minor operation the other day that is something straight out of Dr. Pimple Popper.

Do me a favor and look at these two pictures. For the most part, they're a couple of very sweet engagement photos. Nothing too out of the ordinary. The 1 problem is you can notice this bump that's below my right ear and on the backside of my neck.

These photos are from a handful of months ago and this bump grew even more. I always knew I had a small bump back there but it never really bothered me. Once I could start to notice it when looking in a mirror...it was time to go. Imagine having a golf ball-sized bump sticking out of the back/side of your neck.

I can officially say goodbye to what felt like a crater on the back of my neck!

After my dermatologist and his nurse removed a walnut-sized cyst from my neck, I'm now left with a few stitches which I can thankfully have removed in about 10 days. They will be out just in time for when I get married.

The surgery went well but it was a pretty strange experience. I was under local anesthesia in the location of the cyst which means I was awake for the entire operation. I was talking to my Dr for the entire operation. What made it so strange was it very close to my ear. While I couldn't feel or see anything, I felt like I could hear all of the cutting and scraping during the procedure.

At this point, I'm just glad it's over with. I've never been nervous about being cut into but I'm not a huge fan of needles and I knew I would have to endure a few shots of local anesthesia. I'm also very hopeful all of the cyst was removed and I won't have to go back and do that ever again.
