If you're related to a werewolf, you may want to give them heads up - this Sunday is going to be a real pain for superstitious types.

Astronomers are calling it the "Super Blood Wolf Moon" and it will occur this Sunday night, according to CBS 2 News.

The "wolf" part of the cryptic name comes from the Old Farmer's Almanac, January's full moon is always called a "Wolf Moon" - I don't know why, maybe just because it sounds bad-ass.

The "blood" refers to the fact that it will occur during an eclipse cycle with the earth and sun's position in the celestial sky causing the moon to appear "blood red".

And the "super" is a reference to the fact that the moon will just happen to be at it's closest orbit to the earth, an occurrence that happens every year.

So that's how we get the SUPER BLOOD WOLF MOON which sounds like a new Netflix series.

All things considered, it's just another full moon shaded a bit orange-y. Nothing to freak out about!

But you might want to check if that werewolf of yours has a "Chinese menu in his hand"...he might want a bite of something more than a big dish of beef chow mein.

Ahhh-oooo!
