Maddie Poppe Booked on Big Tour

In one of her bigger steps and more "Dramatic" announcements as a successful winner of American Idol and rising music star, Clarksville native Maddie Poppe has been announced as an opening act on a major fall tour.

She'll be joining "The Dramatic Tour" with pop star Ingrid Michaelson, whose hits include "Girls Chase Boys", and it will start October 3rd in San Diego. The closest current stops to Iowa are scheduled for Minneapolis on October 18 and the following night in Chicago.

Poppe is definitely excited for her rise up the ladder to continue with this opportunity. Her message on Instagram stated, in part, "I can’t believe I get this opportunity, one I’ve dreamed of since I first started playing shows".

I promised you something BIG was coming. 🎉 I’m so happy to finally announce that I will be joining the incredible Ingrid Michaelson on “The Dramatic Tour” this fall!! I can’t believe I get this opportunity, one I’ve dreamed of since I first started playing shows. I saw Ingrid on her “A Summer Night Out” tour in 2015 in Minneapolis and from the nosebleeds could only dream of even getting to MEET her, fast-forward to 2019, I never imagined I would get to TOUR with this woman. Not only am I so excited to hit the road with Ingrid and her incredible band, but I’m also ecstatic to see your bright and shining faces! 😄 To celebrate, I thought I’d compile some of my favorite Ingrid songs together using only four chords.
